We are seeking experienced and engaging speakers/educators for breakout sessions at the North Idaho Women and Their Money (NIWATM) Conference on June 9, 2025. This FREE day-long event brings together more than 400 women from diverse socio-economic backgrounds in North Idaho to improve their financial literacy and assume control of their financial futures. Our aim is to impart lasting financial skills, promote responsible financial behaviors, and reduce stress associated with personal finances.
SPEAKER REQUIREMENTS
- Possesses extensive subject matter expertise in an area impacting women’s financial literacy.
- Able to deliver an engaging, interactive session that leaves participants with a minimum of three actionable takeaways.
- Willing to present on a pro bono basis.
- Committed to providing unbiased information without promoting specific companies or products.
TOPIC IDEAS
- Budgeting and Saving: Creating and keeping a budget, emergency funds, automatic savings and investments
- Debt Management: Understanding debt types and repayment strategies; negotiating with creditors
- Investing Basics: Investment vehicles, risk tolerance, diversification, investing on a budget
- Retirement Planning: Account options (401(k), IRA, Roth IRA; calculating retirement needs and catch-up strategies
- Credit Management: Understanding credit scores, improving credit, and responsible credit card use
